Builders warranty insurance deemed a ‘junk product’

This was on the ABC a bit over a year ago and was flagged by senior consultant Tony Ransley as something worth watching.
“By law it is compulsory in most states for new home owners and anyone doing residential renovations over $12,000 to take out home builders warranty insurance through their builders. But consumer groups have branded it ‘a junk product’ and although it has been the subject of more than 30 state and federal inquires, many homeowners are still being left in the lurch.” – ABC website
