Maintenance, Pt 2 – Timing your building repairs and upgrades

Making money from investment buildings and even your own home is getting harder and harder.  All materials age and eventually will need to be replaced. The trick is in the timing of these repairs: not too much and never too little.

In Part 1 of his article on maintenance, Jerry Tyrrell talked about maintenance basics, including terminology and where maintenance starts. Now in Part 2 he discusses how best to balance durability, updating of appearance, functional upgrades and the reduction of risk.
